Organic September: Why choosing organic matters to us
It’s Organic September, which means we’re celebrating all things clean, green, and grown without the scary stuff.
You’ll find organic cotton being used for our own printed fabric items - lunch bags, sandwich wraps, bread wraps, mini dry mats, tea towels (all the good stuff). We chose organic cotton because it really does make an impact.

Why do we go organic where possible?
Here are 5 main reasons we picked organic cotton for our custom fabrics:
1. It’s kinder to the Planet
Organic cotton is grown without fossil-fuel-based fertilisers, making it a much friendlier option for the environment. Low emissions, high five!
2. It’s thirsty - but in a good way
Healthy organic soil acts like a sponge, soaking up water when it’s wet and holding onto it during droughts. The soil gets to do its job, just as nature intended.

3. It Supports Farmers (and the Bees!) Organic farmers usually grow a mix of crops, not just cotton. This means healthier soil and a more sustainable harvest of food crops, which improves food security - win-win! Plus, our pollinators love it. Without synthetic pesticides, bees and other beneficial insects can thrive. |
4. It’s GMO-free
No genetically modified seeds here. Organic farming keeps control with the farmers - not the big biotech giants.
5. No nasty chemicals Organic farming skips the synthetic pesticides and fertilisers, which means fewer chemicals running off into rivers, lakes, drinking water and getting contaminating the food chain. So organic cotton also makes for very happy & healthy fish - who knew! |
