This week we are giving the bees the buzz they deserve! Today is #WorldBeeDay and here at the studio we have been spending the week giving the little bees the centre stage… did you know anyone, including you can help a bee out by planting a range of bee-friendly flowers in your garden so they access to nectar from March to October. Our bee friendly tea towel is a great reminder of which plants they love the most!

Honeybees also have their own dance move called the ‘waggle dance’! It took researchers at Sussex University 2 years to decode the dance, which is their way of communicating where the best source of food is to each other… have you seen a honeybee do a waggle dance? It looks like they are dancing on our printed bee fabric that we made into lots of lovely bee related gifts!

You can always save a struggling bee by putting it on a bee-friendly flower or if there are none around, mix a 50/50 ratio of white sugar (they struggle to digest brown sugar) and water, this gives them an energy boost to be able to fly back home!
