This lovely sail boat embroidery was first created for a stitched picture design. Poppy was inspired by the artist
Alfred Wallis and wanted to replicate his use of colour with this piece.
This piece is stitched by Poppy on her vintage Singer sewing machine. The slightly unpredictable nature of drawing in stitch means that the lines have a naive quality to them.
This piece is a one-off original.
