Created by Poppy as a card design this is a very early incarnation of her Bee design. This little bee embroidery uses a precious scrap of spotty lemon cord on a teal linen.
Poppy's pieces evolve as she stitches, using her vintage Singer sewing machine to bring a sketch to life. The slightly unpredictable nature of drawing in stitch means that the lines have a naive quality to them.
