Our studio can be found nestled into a copse of native trees right near the tip of Cornwall where our relationship with the environment is felt in every action we take.
Ensuring production is as local as possible has always been at the heart of Poppy Treffry; keeping travel miles to a minimum whilst also supporting the local creative community.
Materials are sourced from UK manufacturers wherever possible including our tea towels which are printed in Cornwall.
All of our own designs of printed canvas and our tea towels are being transitioned to organic cotton to lessen our impact on the wildlife and people harmed in the production of the fabrics.
Any fabric scraps we are unable to use are taking for recycling and fundraising.
We use recycled tissue paper and paper tape to create beautiful experiences for those who have postal orders and each one is packed in recycled outers where possible.
Wholesale orders are all delivered in recycled boxes.
There are no longer plastics used in packaging individual products as we have moved to plant based options or reusable ribbon.
Solar is the main power source for the workshop.
Recycling is a key part of day to day business – our coffee grounds even go to a compost heap.
Essentially we do all we can to make sure nothing goes to waste whilst making sure our products can be loved and used for years and years…
