The Big Christmas Dip is an original embroidery first created for a Christmas card design as an ode to the many bold (and slightly bonkers!) swimmers that brave the waters across Cornwall each year for an Xmas dip. This stitched piece captures the thrill, tradition, and chilly joy of a true Cornish Christmas.
This piece is stitched by Poppy on her vintage Singer sewing machine. The slightly unpredictable nature of drawing in stitch means that the lines have a naive quality to them.
This piece is a one-off original.
