The Christmas Swim quickly became one of Poppy’s best-selling Christmas card designs ever. This original embroidery features charming swimmers on their annual Christmas plunge. One is sporting a handcrafted costume made from some of Poppy’s favourite Liberty print fabrics. A playful piece that captures the joy (and bravery!) of a festive dip.
This piece is stitched by Poppy on her vintage Singer sewing machine. The slightly unpredictable nature of drawing in stitch means that the lines have a naive quality to them.
