It's almost the Platinum Jubilee! Here is what we've been up to...
From the beginning of the year we knew we always wanted to get involved with the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations and our tea cosy has been quite the hit amongst the studio, our customers and in the press! The cosy has featured in Saga, Sainsbury's, Period Living, Home and Antiques and the Yorkshire Post as well as an array of online articles which has been very exciting. We also sent one off to the Queen herself, so we hope she is keeping her teapots lovely and cosy! We have restocked and are ready for the final buildup to next weekend, so be sure to grab your cosy here (it makes the perfect gift too!)....
If you fancy getting creative yourself, our cosy design is also available as a one-off embroidery project, lots of you have brought the design to life in so many ways that we are blown away with at the studio. Take a look at everyone's attempts shared in our Hoop Group on Facebook (you can become a part of our sewing community if you've purchased a project or taken part in a club!)
Now for the big news... we have had to keep this quite for a long while now. Back in March we received a rather exciting request for an exclusive batch of Jubilee Bunting for Harrods! Everyone got their sewing gloves on and we had a batch bunting day featuring lots of tea, cake and hundreds of red, white and blue triangles... it was safe to say we all we a little stir crazy by the end of the day but it was a great way to get into the spirit of the celebrations! Here are some exclusive snaps of the bunting that is now in Harrods (if you are near be sure to pop in to take a look for yourself!) we hope the Queen managed to pick one up...
We have also gone Jubilee mad over at our St Ives Shop, look at what a great effort Lucy has made to the window display! If you are near or in St Ives, be sure to pop in and say hello, click here for directions!
